Brett Favre Announces The Brett Favre Forward Foundation Dinner

Brett Favre is pleased to announce the Brett Favre Forward Foundation Dinner presented by Associated Bank on Friday, September 24, 1999. All proceeds will benefit the Brett Favre Forward Foundation. The Brett Favre Forward Foundation was established in 1996 to support charitable organizations whose focus is to provide aid for disadvantaged or disabled children who reside in Mississippi or Wisconsin.
The Foundation contributed $100,000 to Mississippi charities in July following the annual Brett Favre Celebrity Golf Classic in Mississippi. In four short years of existence the Foundation has contributed more than $400,000 to charities such as: Special Olympics, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club.
Although the Foundation has contributed to numerous Wisconsin charities, the goal is to increase the donations by hosting several events in the Green Bay area. The fund raising dinner is the first event to get the community involved.
"I would like to personally thank Associated Bank for sponsoring the dinner. With the help of the Green Bay corporate community, it will be possible for the Foundation to donate significant dollars to the organizations in the community that need our assistance," said Brett Favre, president of the Brett Favre Forward Foundation and quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. "Supporting these charities is a small way for me to give back to the community that provides me with so much support."
The dinner will begin at 6:30 pm with a reception and silent auction at Brett Favre's Steakhouse. Dinner will be served at 7:30 pm with many of Brett's teammates in attendance. Brett Favre will be the featured speaker, in addition to a special guest speaker. Table packages for the dinner include a "gold" package for $2,500 and a "green" package for $1,500.
In addition, the Brett Favre Forward Foundation plans to host a celebrity softball game on June 3, 2000 at Fox Cities Stadium. The Foundation is a 501 (C) 3 organization in which all net proceeds raised from each event benefits charities.

1996 - $70,000
1997 - $90,000
1998 - $135,500
1999 - $100,000
