Mark Chmura

Show-and-tell time at Morgan Martin School often creates lasting impressions. But wait until Tuesday, Nov. 17 when 9-year-old Corey Duerr unveils his new friend -- Mark Chmura, tight end of the Green Bay Packers.

Corey's name was randomly selected in the JCPenney/Starter Take A Player To School Contest. Corey entered the contest at a local JCPenney store. A student in each NFL city will take a player to school this month as part of the NFL's, JCPenney's and Starter's commitment to education.

In addition, the NFL, JCPenney and Starter will donate $1,000 to Morgan Martin School. Corey also received four tickets to a Packers' game and a Starter merchandise package.

After visiting with Corey's class, Chmura will appear at a special assembly and discuss the value of getting an education and how it leads to success on and off the field. Following his talk, Chmura will field questions from the students of Morgan Martin School.
