Edwards Honored At Sports Spectacular

The Sports Spectacular took place on November 15, 1999 at the Midwest Express Center in Milwaukee.
The Spectacular is the only sports-oriented event of its kind and celebrates all the positive aspects that Wisconsin sports teams have to offer. The event is sponsored by the Milwaukee Bucks, Brewers, Admirals, Wave, Rampage, Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Mile and representatives from each team were in attendance for the autograph reception, games, auctions, dinner and awards ceremony.
Honored at the event with a Distinguished Athlete Award was Packers rookie cornerback Antuan Edwards. The award honored Edwards for his contributions and achievements in volunteer service, promotion of a healthy lifestyle and exemplary role modeling for the youth of the community.
Proceeds from the evening benefit the prevention and youth education initiatives of IMPACT Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Service, Inc., formerly the Milwaukee Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence.
