Talent and Fashion Extravaganza
posted 12/28/97
The Packers Women's Association (PWA) held their First Annual Talent and Fashion Extravaganza for charity in December. The evening was filled with dancing, modeling, and singing by PWA members, Green Bay Packers players, Packers' children, and guest dancers. The production was directed by Rhodesia Lee. LeRoy Butler was the Master of Ceremonies for the sellout event.
Proceeds from the show were used for the Salvation Army's "Adopt A Family" program.
The Salvation Army worked with needy families to find out their needs and wish items at Christmas time. PWA was able to "adopt" 50 families for Christmas with the proceeds from the event. Each adopted family received a magnificent Christmas meal, toys for every child and clothing for each member of the family.
PWA members greeted each "adopted family" as the families received their Christmas gifts and food.
