In celebration of National Read Across America Day (March 2), various members of the Packers team and staff ventured out into the local Green Bay community on Friday to promote reading among the youth of America.
At Jackson Elementary School in Green Bay, Packers President and CEO Bob Harlan joined the Cat In The Hat in a visit on Friday to read to the kids in celebration of Dr. Suess' birthday.
Meanwhile, across town, kicker Ryan Longwell donned a tall, green and gold striped hat at an appearance at Valley View Elementary School. While at the school, Longwell chose to read two of his personal favorites - Green Eggs and Ham and How the Grinch Stole Christmas - to dozens of grade school children that had gathered for the event.
