The Green Bay Packers welcomed the University of Wisconsin football staff to construction-laden Lambeau Field Wednesday evening (June 6) for the ninth-annual Badger/Packer Steak Fry fundraiser.
The coaching staffs of both teams, along with Packers and UW athletic department employees, were treated to a steak dinner cooked by members of both organizations. University of Wisconsin boosters, fans and friends were also in attendance, along with other athletic team coaches from the Madison campus.
The event was open to the public and both the Packer and Badger football coaching staffs and former Wisconsin and UW-Green Bay men's basketball coach Dick Bennett were all part of the program. The event also included a sports memorabilia auction plus a raffle.
Sponsored by the UW Provision Company of Middleton, Wis. and the Central and Northeast Mendota Gridiron Clubs of Wisconsin, all proceeds from the event go towards funding football scholarships for student/athletes at Wisconsin.
