The Packers did indeed beat the Giants, 37-0, resulting in Rich becoming a fan for life."

The daughters also said, "Who says you have to be from Wisconsin to be the biggest Packer fan? Certainly not our father, who has been a die-hard Packer fan for over 45 years. He is responsible for our Packer family and converting over 20 family and friends into Packer Backers...

When Rob Davis and Abdul Hodge were asked to speak at the Wisconsin's National Guard Challenge Academy in Fort McCoy, Wis., they felt comfortable speaking to cadets about their own life experiences while motivating cadets to make the most of their future.

Davis and Hodge traveled to and from the Academy via Black Hawk Helicopter on Tuesday, Oct. 31, and expressed concerns from the moment they stepped foot into Austin Straubel Airport.

"This might be the craziest thing I've ever done," Davis said as he greeted the pilots, "I'm just letting you know I have two women expecting me home this afternoon."

Ninth Packers Fan Hall Of Fame Honoree Sought

<a href="http://www.mkemarketplace.com/fanhof/2006/"target="new">Click here to nominate someone online!

The annual search is on for a new Packers FAN Hall of Fame honoree.

The first professional football team to have its own hall of fame, the Green Bay Packers enhanced that distinction in 1998 by establishing a Packers FAN Hall of Fame. It was founded, in conjunction with the Packers Hall of Fame, for the purpose of annually honoring a devout and longtime Packers fan.

As has been the case each of the past eight years, nominees are being sought for recognition by a selection committee. The late Mel Knoke of Appleton was chosen as the inaugural enshrinee in the FAN Hall of Fame. The 91-year-old Knoke, who died between the time of his election and enshrinement, was honored posthumously at the 1999 Packers Hall of Fame Induction Banquet.

In addition to Knoke, past honorees include:

Lambeau Field Concessions Seek Volunteer Groups For 2006 Season

OPPORTUNITY AWAITS TO RAISE MONEY FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

As the Green Bay Packers are in the midst of offseason training, Lambeau Field also is preparing for the upcoming 2006 season. Included on the checklist this year is finding a few more groups to staff the stadium's concession stands.

In a longstanding yearly tradition, non-profit organizations work the stands, serving food and drink to fans attending the games, and raise a substantial amount of money for their respective causes. Included among the organizations are athletic booster clubs, as well as church, youth and school groups.

Levy Restaurants, the company that oversees all food and beverage operations at Lambeau Field, has scheduled groups for most of the stadiums concession stands, but still has a handful of openings available for other non-profit organizations to get involved.

The Green Bay Packers opened its doors to the American Red Cross, Tuesday as several of the organization's employees lined up to participate in the Green Bay Packers Employee Blood Drive.

"It's always nice for a company to put on a blood drive for its employees," said Dave Liethen, Donor Recruitment Representative for the American Red Cross. "It makes it convenient for them and they are able to donate easily without any distractions such as worrying about getting home late or having to pick up the kids from day care."

According to their Web site, the Red Cross collects, screens, processes, tests, transports and monitors approximately 22,000 blood donations daily from across the nation.

Leithen also added that about three percent of the American population donates blood on a regular basis, while there is a 97-percent chance that in your lifetime someone you know will need a blood transfusion.

Barry And Whitticker Visit Local Elementary School

Green Bay Packers offensive linemen Kevin Barry and William Whitticker spent Thursday afternoon at Denmark Elementary School, celebrating the children's fundraising abilities.

The students at the 500-person school, located outside Green Bay, Wis., collected $10,500 for the American Heart Association by accepting pledges for their "Jump Rope for Heart" program. That total represents the largest amount the school has raised through their annual program.

To commemorate that achievement, Barry and Whitticker spent almost two hours at the school. The linemen went to classrooms, congratulating the children on their effort and urging them to keep reading.

The Packers then served a lunch of macaroni and cheese, hamburgers, hot dogs and cookies to the kids and played outside with them during the mid-60 degree day. Barry tossed a football around while Whitticker led a game of kickball.

Kampman And Williams Distribute Soup To The Needy

Green Bay Packers defensive end Aaron Kampman ate chicken and wild rice soup on Tuesday night. On Wednesday he dealt with soup in much larger quantities.

Kampman and running back Chaz Williams helped distribute 16,000 cans of Campbell's Chunky soup to those in need at Paul's Pantry in Green Bay, Wis. The soup donation, which equaled the approximate weight of the entire Packers roster, also recognized the fanaticism of Packers fans.

To help food banks in the local community, NFL fans voted online for their favorite team. Packers supporters voted 269,000 times, beating their nearest competitor, the Pittsburgh Steelers, by more than 31,000 votes to win the Campbell's Chunky soup "Click for Cans" competition for the fourth consecutive year.

"That's pretty awesome," Kampman said.

Green Bay Major Jim Schmitt attended the event, which also celebrated the 22nd anniversary of Paul's Pantry's -- a food center for the disadvantaged -- and kicked off the sixth..

Torch Award Winner Has Taken Packers Retail To New Heights

During the summer of 1992, Kate Hogan noticed construction at Lambeau Field. Figuring that expansion meant the Green Bay Packers would need further employment, she applied for a position.

That proved to be a fortuitous decision for both Hogan and the Packers. Hogan, 44, landed a job as director of retail operations for the Packers, overseeing a burgeoning enterprise. She helps run the Packers Pro Shop, the Extra Points store, the gameday pro shop store, seven gameday novelty concessions stands, three gameday kiosques, the warehouse and mail and internet orders.

"She's done a great job for the Packers," Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer John Jones said. "(Hogan) is one of the leaders in retail in the National Football League in terms of development."

Under her watch the pro shop has expanded from 1,500 to 6,500 square feet, the number of retail workers has swelled from six to 125 and the number of phones has quadrupled. Although the Packer..

AP Story: Favre Dedicates Playground In Hometown Of Kiln

Brett Favre returned to his hometown in southern Mississippi on Thursday and joined First Lady Laura Bush in dedicating a playground to replace the one where he played as a boy.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback thanked the volunteers for building the playground at Hancock North Central Elementary School in the small town of about 2,000 people located 10 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico. His mother, two brothers and sister still live in the area.

"This place was devasted by Hurricane Katrina, and I know a lot of the volunteers who they normally would
