NFL Draft Notes- Lightning quick pass defender with the acceleration to make the crossfield tackles...Has the tenacious attitude to consistently jam receivers at the line of scrimmage...Comes out low from his backpedal, showing proper angle technique as he closes on the ball carriers...Reads the pass well, showing good timing & superb leaping ability going for the ball...One of the fastest cornerbacks in the nation...Recently timed at 4.39 in the 40-yard dash.
1998- Started at weakside...Finished with 32 tackles (28 solos), two interceptions for 36 yards in returns & two pass deflections...Also forced a fumble.
Mississippi State...Opened the season with a pair of interceptions, returning one 38 yards (other was for a 2-yard loss).
Alabama...Followed with 8 tackles (7 solos).
Mississippi State...Deflected a pass & made 4 hits (3 solos).
Texas Christian...Had 7 tackles (6 solos).
Western Michigan...Added 5 stops & a pass break-up.
