NFL Draft Notes- Versatile defender with experience at free safety & cover cornerback...Flashes into the play, showing quick reactions in run defense...Smooth in his backpedal & has the burst to stay with receivers deep...Very effective at using his hands to knock his man off stride...Recently timed at 4.56 in the 40-yard dash.
1998- Started the final 10 games at free safety...Finished second on the team with 80 tackles (65 solos), including one for a 2-yard loss...Had a 66-yard interception return & six pass deflections...Also caused a fumble.
1997- All-Conference USA first-team selection...Manned the "cover" cornerback position as he recorded 72 tackles (45 solos) with five stops for losses of 7 yards...Deflected 10 passes & had a pair of interceptions...Added 12 tackles (9 solos) with a forced fumble on special teams.
1996- Started the final five games at "cover" cornerback...Recorded 54 tackles (41 solos) with two stops for losses of 2 yards..Deflected four passes & had three interceptions.
1995- Redshirted in his first year at Memphis
