NFL Draft Notes- Flashy runner with sharp cutting ability bouncing wide...Has a quick burst through the holes & stays low to the ground weaving through traffic...His large, soft hands make him an inviting target as a receiver out of the backfield...Effective blocker who is very aggressive in his hits...Recently timed at 4.49 in the 40-yard dash...Became the first player in school history to rush for over 1000 yards three times in a career...Only the fourth player in Sooner annals to gain over 3000 yards on the ground in a career (3404), ranking behind Billy Sims (3813, 1975-79), Steve Owens (3857, 1967-69) & Joe Washington (3995, 1972-75) on the school's all-time record list... 1998- Football News All-Big Twelve Conference first-team selection, earning second-team honors from the Associated Press & coaches...Led the team in rushing for the third-straight season with his third consecutive 1000-yard performance...Gained 1077 yards with five touchdowns on 205 carries (5.3 avg.)...Caught 14 passes for 176 yards (12.6 avg.)
& a score...Returned 10 kickoffs for 198 yards (19.8 avg.)...Ran for over 100 yards six times, including a pair of 200-yard efforts.
North Texas...Opened the season with 126 yards & a score on 20 tries.
California...Added 114 yards on 17 chances.
Colorado...Rushed 26 times for 134 yards with 11 & 49-yard touchdowns, adding 49 yards on a reception & 47 yards on a pair of kickoff returns.
Oklahoma State...Gained 40 yards on 3 kickoff returns & a season-high 220 yards on 23 rushes.
Iowa State...Gained 105 yards on 25 tries, 16 yards on 2 catches & 18 yards on a kickoff return.
Baylor...Carried 29 times for 207 yards, including 7 & 48-yard touchdowns, adding 28 yards with a 13-yard score on 2 catches.
1997- All-Big Twelve Conference second-team pick...Semi-finalist for the Doak Walker Award & Football News' National Offensive Player of the Year Award...Despite playing in only nine games, he led the team with 1143 yards & six touchdowns on 194 carries

San Diego State...Shattered the school-record for freshman as he exploded for 244 yards on 18 tries with 13, 2 & 86-yard touchdowns.

Texas...Added 107 yards on 24 chances & 31 yards on a pair of grabs.

Oklahoma State...Gained 166 yards on 23 tries, including 8 & 7-yard scores.
