Regarded as one of the finest athletes ever in the Razorbacks program, Carroll excelled as a boundary cornerback for the football team and as a sprinter on the track team ... Moved into the starting lineup midway through his freshman year ... Could also be used on offense as a receiver ... Sensational special teams performer who ranked as the leading tackler on all of the squad's coverage units ... In 36 games for the Razorbacks, he recorded 140 tackles (98 solos) with a 3-yard sack, seven stops for losses of 18 yards, 25 deflected passes, four interceptions, two fumble recoveries, a pair of forced fumbles, two kickoff returns for 27 yards and 12 quarterback pressures.
