OVERVIEW
The two-time member of the school's Leadership Council was highly regarded by the younger
players, who looked up to Johnny because of his competitive nature. A durable athlete, he started
his final 35 games for the Aggies. His hard work in the training room earned him Aggie Elite
status, as he improved his four-lift total (bench, squat, power clean, leg press) to 1,805 pounds
and led the down linemen with a 34-inch vertical jump in 2005.
Jolly was a three-time All-District defensive lineman at Forest Brook High School in Houston. He
added District 21-4A Most Valuable Player honors as a senior while helping the team to the
district crown in 2000. He recorded 95 tackles as a senior and made 85 tackles as a junior with
five fumble recoveries.
Johnny played in twelve games at Texas A&M as a reserve defensive tackle during the 2002
season. The true freshman produced 26 tackles (19 solos), caused a fumble and blocked two
kicks. He took over left tackle duties as a sophomore, finishing second on the team with a careerhigh
95 tackles (54 solos), including two sacks and twelve stops for losses. He deflected nine
passes and had five quarterback pressures.
Jolly was used more in run containment as a junior and saw constant double team action in 2004
as he registered 45 tackles (18 solos) with three stops behind the line of scrimmage and batted
away six passes while causing a fumble. In 2005, Jolly collected 64 tackles (20 solos) with 4.5
sacks and 11.5 stops behind the line of scrimmage.
In 47 games with the Aggies, Johnny started his final 35 contests. He recorded 230 tackles (111
solos) with 6.5 sacks for minus 42 yards, 28 stops for losses of 105 yards and five quarterback
pressures. He deflected sixteen passes, caused two fumbles and recovered another. He also
blocked a pair of kicks.

Started his last 35 games for the Aggies...Has the best vertical jump (34 inches) of any A&M
lineman, utilizing that ability to block two kicks and deflect sixteen passes during his
career...Two-year member of the school's Leadership Council...Earned 4x4 and Aggie Elite
status during the Aggies' 2005 off-season training program...Improved his maximum in the 4x4
lifts (370 bench, 591 leg press, 520 squat, 324 power clean) by 36.5 pounds to a total of 1,805

2005 SEASON
All-Big Twelve Conference honorable mention by the league's coaches...Started all year at left
defensive tackle...Finished third on the team with 64 tackles (20 solos), including 4.5 sacks for
minus 35 yards and 11.5 stops for losses of 58 yards...Also deflected a pass.
2004 SEASON
All-Big Twelve Conference second-team pick by the Dallas Morning News, adding honorable
mention by the league coaches and Associated Press...Started all year at left tackle, producing
45 tackles (18 solos) with 3.5 stops for losses of 9 yards...Deflected six passes and caused a
fumble...Registered 26 of his tackles in the team's final four games... Had six third-down tackles.
2003 SEASON
Earned team Defensive MVP honors...Moved into the starting lineup, finishing second on the
team with a career-high 95 tackles (54 solos) with two sacks for minus 7 yards, twelve stops for
losses of 37 yards and five pressures...Deflected nine passes...Twelve of his tackles resulted in
third-down stops.
2002 SEASON
Appeared in twelve games as a reserve defensive tackle, making 26 tackles (19 solos) with a
stop for a 1-yard loss...Caused and recovered a fumble...Also blocked two kicks.
