Kohls Countdown To Kickoff
Gameday / 1994 / January 16
Dallas 27, Packers 17
1993 NFC Divisional Playoff
Jan. 16, 1994, at Texas Stadium, Irving

The Cowboys' 17-point second-quarter surge overcame an early Packers lead and gave the eventual Super Bowl champions momentum they would not relinquish.

But the Packers held that momentum in the first quarter. They stopped Bill Bates short on a fourth-down fake punt, and capitalized on great field position to score the game's first points, a Chris Jacke field goal.

Brett Favre (331 yards) fell 1 yard shy of the Packers' postseason record, and Sterling Sharpe (six receptions, 128 yards) turned in a second straight 100-yard effort. Dallas' Troy Aikman completed 28 of 37 passes for 302 yards and three touchdowns, while Michael Irvin added nine catches for 126 yards.
