HEAD COACH DAVE WANNSTEDT:
"We played with a lot of poise. The penalties slowed us up - several came after we had big gainers. We never had a three-and-out all night.
"We have to find a way to finish. We have to stop settling for field goals.
"We had them backed up twice. We have to make them punt the ball.
"I was pleased with the defense in the third quarter; they played without one-third of the players. They did a nice job. Jay (Fiedler) also did a nice job.
"We got out of this game without any major injuries. That's a positive.
"I'm pleased with the way the No. 1s played. The special teams also did a nice job. We pinned them (the Packers) down.
"We kicked field goals well. One snap went bad.
"Chris Chambers started and played really well. He is a real pleasure to watch.
Jamar Fletcher started the second half and did a good job.
"We tried to hit Chambers three times at the start of the game; he got jammed up and was a bit slow coming off the line.
"The wet conditions were good for us. That forced us to hang on to the ball."
QUARTERBACK JAY FIEDLER:
"I got pressured a few times. One time the receiver stumbled, another time I should have waited and then put the ball too far. We have to work on those plays.
"We did some good things, but sometimes we waited for the receiver to make something happen.
"The overall execution was pretty good.
"Both the offensive and defensive first teams played well."
WIDE RECEIVER CHRIS CHAMBERS:
"This was my first start. It felt real good, especially here in Wisconsin and Lambeau Field."
(on the first pass thrown to him) "I got a good hit - it woke me up.
"Jay and I have to work on our reads.
"I like returning kicks - it gets my hands on the ball."
(on his progress) "It's good - I'm learning.
"This is a great group to work with - all the players are a big help.
"Getting with this team was the best thing for me.
"I was glad to start the third quarter and make a couple of catches. I have to keep working, be patient and work on my routes."
