Sharper (on Jacksonville QB Leftwich): "I think Leftwich is going to be a heck of player, but he's still in a little bit of a learning curve. When you add Jimmy Smith to that, and realize that they're also getting Fred (Taylor) back, it's adds a whole new dimension to this football team."

After the Packers' defense forced Jacksonville to punt, Brett Favre's pass on 2nd-and-5, intended for Bubba Franks, was intercepted by Rashean Mathis at the 50 yard line.

The Packers answered on the ensuing drive as Brett Favre hit Bubba Franks for a gain of 11 yards, before finding Robert Ferguson in the middle of the field for a 52-yard touchdown (6:20, 2nd quarter).

Also hit with a holding penalty, Brett Favre's pass on 3rd-and-21, intended for Donald Driver, was intercepted by Donovin Darius at the Packers' 38-yard line.

The Jaguars took the lead as Josh Scobee made a 23-yard field goal (9:09, 2nd quarter).

Three penalties, including a chop-block which negated Byron Leftwich's 38 yard pass to Jimmy Smith to put the Jaguars into Packers territory, killed the Jaguars third drive of the game.

Despite a big play by Robert Ferguson, who made a leaping catch for a gain of 26 yards, the Packers were unable to reach the end zone on their second drive of the night. Javon Walker just missed a 30-yard touchdown reception as the ball slipped through his hands in the end zone.
Bryan Barker came on to punt for the first time in a Packers uniform, sending the ball into the end zone from 39 yards out.

On the Jaguars' opening drive of the game, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila sacked Jacksonville quarterback Byron Leftwich for a loss of 7 yards. On the ensuing play, Cletidus Hunt stopped Leftwich for just a two-yard gain, forcing Jacksonville to punt.
