- BRETT FAVRE led the league in passing yards for the second time in his career (also 1995) with 4,212 yards. He became the fifth player in NFL history with multiple (two or more) career 4,000-yard seasons, joining Dan Marino (6), Warren Moon (4), Dan Fouts (3) and Drew Bledsoe (2) - Steve Young (2) also has since done it. Favre made his 109th consecutive regular season start, the second-longest string since the AFL-NFL merger, passing Joe Ferguson (107), and is seven starts behind the leader Ron Jaworski (116). He improved his home record as a "cold weather" (35 degrees or below) quarterback to 24-0.
- ANTONIO FREEMAN was named as a starter on the NFC's Pro Bowl squad, the first time in his career he has been so honored. Is second in NFC with 84 receptions. Led the NFL with a career-high 1,424 receiving yards, and is only the fifth Packer ever to pace the NFL in receiving yards. Is only the second player in team history with two seasons of 80-plus catches. Led the Packers in receptions for the third consecutive season. Tied for second-most receiving touchdowns in the NFL, 14, a total which also ranks as the third-highest, single-season total in club history.
- MARK CHMURA was selected to his third Pro Bowl, the first time as a starter. Finished second on the team with 47 receptions. Ranks third all-time among Green Bay tight ends with 183 career receptions, behind Paul Coffman (322) and Ed West (202).
- ROELL PRESTON was selected to his first Pro Bowl as the NFC's kick returner. Had three combined kick returns (2 kickoffs, 1 punt) for touchdowns. Finished third in the NFC in kickoff returns with a 26.3-yard average on 57 attempts.
- REGGIE WHITE led the NFC 16 sacks - the most he has had in a season since 18 in Philadelphia in 1988. Led the team with 4 forced fumbles. His 4 forced fumbles matched his career best, which he had in 1987 and 1990 while with Philadelphia.
- LeROY BUTLER is selected to his fourth Pro Bowl, the third time as a starter. Started all 16 games for the fourth straight year and sixth time overall. Finished second on team with 15 passes defensed and third in tackles with 88. Has 34 career intereceptions, fourth on the Packers' all-time list.
