Ed Block Courage Award
For his perseverance and heart in the wake of losing his father during the season, WR Chris Francies earned the Packers' 2007 Ed Block Courage Award, in a vote of his teammates.
In 1978, the Baltimore Colts started an effort to raise funds for abused children and conceived an award they named after their long-time trainer, the late Ed Block. In 1984, the award was taken league-wide to honor one player from each team who, in the eyes of his teammates, best exemplifies and displays courage. Annual Packers winners, 1984-2007:
