| Pro Bowl Voting |
- The NFL is the only pro sports league that combines all-star voting by fans, players and coaches.
- NFL players and coaches cast their Pro Bowl ballots usually in Week 15.
- Mike McCarthy and the PR department conduct voting, asking that players (1) not vote for their own teammates, and (2) offensive players & coaches vote for defensive players, and vice versa.
- The consensus ballots of fans, players and coaches each count one-third toward determining the 43-man AFC & NFC rosters.
- Fan voting is used to break any tie.
- Brett Favre was the NFL's top fan vote-getter in 2001 (670,401) and 2002 (930,270).
- The NFL became the first professional league to offer online voting, in 1995.
- According to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, each Pro Bowl player on the winning team earns $40,000; each Pro Bowl player on the losing team earns $20,000.
