  • Tue., May. 28, 2013 11:30AM - 1:00PM CDT Organized Team Activities (OTAs) The Packers announced details on the remainder of their offseason schedule, including the fact that five of the team’s offseason practices will be open to the public, weather permitting.

    The open practices will be three organized team activities (OTAs) and two mandatory minicamp workouts. The open OTA practices are slated for three Tuesdays — May 21, May 28 and June 11 — and will begin at 11:30 a.m. CT. The two mandatory minicamp practices are scheduled for June 4 and 5 with a start time TBA.

    Due to ongoing preparations on Ray Nitschke Field for training camp, the OTA and minicamp workouts will be held on Clarke Hinkle Field this year. Viewing of the open practices will be standing-room only along the Oneida Street side of Hinkle Field.

Reserved exclusively for members of the Junior Power Pack kids fan club (ages 5-14), this event features the chance to run skills and drills with other Packer backers and a few up-and-coming Packers players.

  • Sat., Jun. 08, 2013 3:00PM - 5:00PM CDT Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer The Green Bay Packers are gearing up for the 10th annual Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer event, set for Saturday, June 8. The event once again features a motorcycle ride, but non-riding fans who want to support the cause are welcome to attend the post-ride party at Lambeau Field’s North Loft, the rooftop deck below the TundraVision in the north end zone.
     
    On the day of the ride, registration begins at 9 a.m. and will continue through 10:30 a.m. at Vandervest Harley-Davidson in Green Bay. The post-ride party begins at 3 p.m. at Lambeau Field in the North Loft, which can be accessed through the Bellin Health Gate. The party will include food and drink for purchase, a silent and live auction and fun while bringing awareness to cancer. Attendees will also have the opportunity to get autographs from Packers players in exchange for a $10 donation to the event.

Former Packers Adderley, Robinson and Taylor to meet with fans this weekend

Former players at Packers Pro Shop Saturday, Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club Sunday

Leading up to the Green Bay Packers game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Dec. 2, featured Packers alumni Herb Adderley, Dave Robinson and Aaron Taylor will be signing autographs and visiting with fans in the Packers Pro Shop on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 12:30 to 2 p.m.  Also in the Pro Shop on Saturday, Adderley and Robinson will sign copies of their new book Lombardi’s Left Side from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

The Tundra Tailgate Zone will also feature Taylor on gameday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., where he will be visiting with fans and signing autographs. More information on the Tundra Tailgate Zone can be found online at www.packers.com/gameday/tundra-tailgate-zone.html.

Also on Sunday, Adderley and Robinson will be visiting with fans and signing autographs during that same time in the Legends Club on the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game attendees with suite or club seat tickets, as a guest of the ‘Alumni Meet and Greet.’

Adderley was the Packers’ No. 1 draft choice in 1961 after a noteworthy career at Michigan State. Considered one of the all-time greats at cornerback, the five-time All-Pro played in five Pro Bowls and the first two Super Bowls with Green Bay. Adderly racked up 39 interceptions with the Packers, seven of which he ran back for touchdowns. His three defensive touchdowns in 1965 remain tied for a Packers record.

Robinson, the Packers’ No. 1 draft choice in 1963 was as an All-American linebacker out of Penn State. In 10 seasons with the Packers, he earned multiple All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors and helped the Packers win three NFL championships, including the first two Super Bowls. One of the best linebackers of his era, he was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 1982 and this year is a senior candidate for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Taylor, a first-round draft pick in 1994 out of Notre Dame, played a total of 53 overall games for the Green Bay Packers from 1995 to 1997. The offensive guard was a key member of an offensive line that helped pave the way to three straight conference championship games, two Super Bowls and a win in Super Bowl XXXI. Overall, Taylor helped the Packers to 41 wins during his career.

All three former Packers players will be introduced on Lambeau Field during pregame festivities.
