    ‘Project Play 60’, the Green Bay Packers’ event that is focused on getting kids out of the house to enjoy non-strenuous physical activity, is set for Saturday, March 7.

    The free community event is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will take place in both the Lambeau Field Atrium and the Legends Club on the fourth floor. Parking will be free for guests participating in Project Play 60, and attendees may enter the Atrium through the Oneida Nation Gate, American Family Insurance Gate or Miller Lite Gate.

    The Green Bay Packers announced plans for the 10th anniversary ‘Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour,’ set for April 14-18. This year’s tour includes three stops in western Wisconsin, in addition to stops in southern and eastern Wisconsin, to visit with fans and thank them in person for their support.

    Tour celebrities will include Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, players Andrew Quarless, Micah Hyde and Casey Hayward, and Packers alumni Gilbert Brown, Antonio Freeman and Bill Schroeder. The tour will also feature special alumni in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Tailgate Tour, Dave Robinson and Jerry Kramer.

Halloween arrives at Lambeau Field

Spooktacular Fun and Haunted Concourse open to public this weekend

Lambeau Field is getting ready for this weekend’s Halloween-themed events Spooktacular Fun and the Haunted Concourse.

Spooktacular Fun, free to the public, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Accessed through the Miller Lite Gate on the north end of Lambeau Field, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Haunted Concourse this year again is open for two days of thrills and has an admission price of $2, with all proceeds to benefit the Angel Fund for Children with Cancer. The Haunted Concourse is accessed through the Oneida Nation Gate on Lambeau Field’s east side. It is open Friday, Oct. 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; and again from 9 to 11 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 22, hours are 10 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m., 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m. Lines may be cut off prior to the end times to ensure no unnecessary waits.

The Haunted Concourse, designed for teens with a PG-13 rating, will be set in a darkened Lambeau Field concourse and feature scenes of high-tech shocks and horrors. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a guardian into the Haunted Concourse, and children under the age of 8 will not be permitted.

Spooktacular Fun will feature interactive and entertaining musicians, magicians, and jugglers. Children also will have the opportunity to receive airbrush tattoos, take part in cookie decorating, and put their artistic skills to work at a Halloween-themed craft station.

‘Spooktacular Fun’ is one in a series of community events held each year by the Packers. Other events include an ecumenical Thanksgiving Day meal for area needy families, ‘Project LEAP’ and the Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer.
