Posted Mar 12, 2014

Packers.com staff writer Mike Spofford sat down with former Packers center Larry McCarren who talked about his how he got into sports broadcasting and the experience of calling a game in the radio booth.

McCarren, one of the most durable and dependable athletes ever to wear Packers green and gold, is fifth in team annals for most consecutive games played with 162. A 12th-round pick in 1973, the two-time Pro Bowler and Packers Hall of Famer, nicknamed “The Rock,” played 12 seasons at center for the Packers before beginning a career in sports broadcasting and becoming a fan favorite on the Packers Radio Network.
