Majkowski, Coffman featured alumni this weekend

Posted Dec 5, 2013

Former players at Packers Pro Shop Saturday, Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club Sunday

The Green Bay Packers are welcoming back featured alumni Don Majkowski and Paul
Coffman for the Packers-Falcons game on Sunday, Dec. 8. Leading up to the game, the alumni
will be signing autographs and visiting with fans in the Packers Pro Shop on Saturday, Dec. 7,
from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

The Tundra Tailgate Zone will also feature Majkowski on gameday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.,
where he will be visiting with fans and signing autographs. More information on the Tundra
Tailgate Zone can be found online at www.packers.com/gameday/tundra-tailgate-zone.html.

Also on Sunday, Coffman will be visiting with fans and signing autographs during that same
time in the Legends Club on the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game
attendees with suite or club seat tickets, as a guest of the 'Alumni Meet and Greet.'

Majkowski, a 10th-round draft pick in 1987 from the University of Virginia, started five games at
quarterback in his rookie season before replacing Randy Wright as the regular starter in 1988.
The next year, he led the Packers to a 10-6 record, their best since 1972. Majkowski, known
affectionately as "Majik Man," re-energized the Packers fan base, and, in 1989, became the first
Packers quarterback selected to the Pro Bowl since Bart Starr in 1966. Majkowski is the
Packers’ fifth-ranked passer of all time and was enshrined in the Packers Hall of Fame in 2005.

Coffman, a free agent in 1978, signed with the Packers and became a Pro Bowl-caliber tight
end. In his second season, Coffman caught 56 passes, breaking Ron Kramer’s then-record for
receptions by a tight end. He caught 322 passes for 39 touchdowns and averaged 13.1 yards
per catch throughout his career. Coffman is sixth in team annals for most consecutive games
with a reception (50) and was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 1994.

Both former Packers players will be introduced on Lambeau Field during pregame festivities.
