Posted Oct 13, 2011

Game Includes PWA Food Drive, Air Force Flyover, Alumni

The Green Bay Packers will be sporting the re-created 1929 Packers uniform for the game against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, Oct. 16. The third jersey includes the retro navy blue jerseys featuring a gold circle with the player’s number, as well as brown helmets and tan pants. The apparel celebrates the year of Green Bay’s first world championship.

Packers coaching staff and team personnel also will be wearing the third jersey sideline apparel, which dates back to the 1920s, with many of the selections featuring “Acme Packers,” the team moniker from the 1921-22 seasons.

In the past 24 years, the PWA has collected approximately 616,800 non-perishable food items and $242,531 for Paul’s Pantry, a supplementary food distribution program for the needy in the greater Green Bay area.
