Packers alumni Mark Chmura and Don Beebe will also be at the rally to socialize with fans, sign autographs and discuss their thoughts on the next day’s game against the Bears. A round-table discussion with Packers.com writers Vic Ketchman, Mike Spofford and the audience will conclude the event.

Packers announce strength and conditioning staff

The Green Bay Packers have announced their strength and conditioning staff for the 2011 season.

Mark Lovat will continue in his role as strength and conditioning coordinator, a position he moved into for the 2010 season after spending the previous 11 years (1999-2009) as a strength and conditioning assistant with the team. Thadeus Jackson will enter his second season with the Packers as a strength and conditioning assistant.

New to the staff will be Zac Woodfin, who joins the Packers as a strength and conditioning assistant. Prior to coming to Green Bay, Woodfin served as a performance specialist at Athletes’ Performance in Los Angeles, where he worked primarily with NFL players as well as college athletes preparing for the NFL Combine. He also worked at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2007 and at the University of Alabama as a volunteer assistant strength coach in ’07.

Woodfin, who played linebacker at UAB and is the school’s all-time leading tackler, entered the NFL as a non-drafted free agent with the Packers in April 2005. He spent time on Green Bay’s practice squad that season as well as the practice squads of New Orleans and Baltimore in ‘05. Woodfin was signed to the Ravens’ active roster toward the end of that season and appeared in one game. He also played in NFL Europe in 2007, starting for a Frankfurt Galaxy team that advanced to the World Bowl.
