Packers release G/C Greg Van Roten

The Green Bay Packers have released G/C Greg Van Roten. The transaction was announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.
 
Van Roten, who was signed by Green Bay as a non-drafted free agent out of the University of Pennsylvania in July 2012, appeared in three games in 2013 before being placed on injured reserve on Oct. 15. He played in seven contests as a rookie in ’12.
