The Green Bay Packers have signed DL Johnny Jones to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Jones, a 6-foot-4, 310-pound rookie out of Marshall, signed with the Miami Dolphins as a non-drafted free agent on July 28. He appeared in two preseason contests for the Dolphins before being released on Aug. 26. Jones played in 32 games with 16 starts during his final three seasons at Marshall.
