Both players return after playing for Packers in 2013

The Green Bay Packers have signed RB Michael Hill and re-signed S Chris Banjo. The transactions were announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Hill, a 5-foot-10, 210-pound second-year player out of Missouri Western State, spent time on Green Bay’s practice squad and active roster in 2013, appearing in two games for the Packers. He was signed by Tampa Bay from Green Bay’s practice squad on Nov. 13 and went on to play in six games for the Buccaneers. Hill rushed for 23 yards on nine carries (2.6 avg.) and caught two passes for 23 yards (11.5 avg.) for Tampa Bay. He originally entered the NFL as a non-drafted free agent with San Diego and played in all four preseason contests for the Chargers in 2013.

Banjo appeared in all 16 games with one start in 2013. He posted 15 tackles (12 solo) and a pass defensed, in addition to ranking second on the club with 10 coverage tackles on special teams.
