Packers sign TE Cosby

Posted Jul 30, 2012

The Green Bay Packers have signed TE DeMarco Cosby. The signing was announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Cosby, a 6-foot-3, 245-pound first-year player out of the University of Central Missouri, entered the league as a non-drafted free agent with the St. Louis Rams in August 2011 and spent one game on the team’s practice squad late last season.

Cosby started all 14 games as a senior for the Mules and caught 71 passes for 970 yards (13.7 avg.) and 10 TDs, all single-season school records by a tight end. He finished his career as Central Missouri’s all-time leader among tight ends in receptions (141), receiving yards (2,146) and receiving TDs (20).

Cosby will wear No. 46 for the Packers.
