Free event for kids focuses on physical activity

The 10th annual ‘Project LEAP!’ is set for Saturday, March 2, 2013. The free community event is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will take place in both the Lambeau Field Atrium and the Legends Club on the fourth floor.

‘Project LEAP!’ (Lambeau’s Exercise and Activity Playground) is focused on getting kids out of the house to enjoy non-strenuous physical activity.

In addition to the popular inflatables, climbing walls, bungee trampolines and face painting, the day will feature entertainment by Breaksk8, a break dancing group on roller skates that has been featured on America’s Got Talent and MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. The group is scheduled to perform six times: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. followed by a meet-and-greet after each performance. For more information on Breaksk8, visit www.breaksk8.com.

New this year, Playworks Milwaukee, a national nonprofit organization that transforms schools by providing play and physical activity at recess and throughout the school day, will be hosting several physical activity stations during the event. For more information, visit www.playworks.org.

'Project LEAP!' is one of several free community events the Packers host each year, each geared toward bringing families together.
