'Project Play 60' set for March 15 in Lambeau Field Atrium, Legends Club

Posted Feb 19, 2014

Free event focuses on physical activity; event accessed through Oneida Nation Gate

“Project Play 60”, the Packers’ event that was formerly known as Project LEAP, is set for Saturday, March 15. The free community event is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will take place in both the Lambeau Field Atrium and the Legends Club on the fourth floor.

The Miller Lite Gate is currently being renovated, so guests attending Project Play 60 should enter the Atrium through the Oneida Nation Gate on the stadium’s east side. Attendees should park in the lot on Lambeau Field’s east side near the Oneida Nation Gate, which can be accessed off Oneida Street and Lombardi Avenue.

Project Play 60 is focused on getting kids out of the house to enjoy non-strenuous physical activity.

In addition to the popular inflatables, climbing walls, bungee trampolines and face painting, the day will feature entertainment by the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team, a professional gymnastics group that was featured as a semifinalist on America’s Got Talent. The group is scheduled to perform six times starting at 10 a.m., followed by a meet-and-greet after each performance. For more information on the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team, visit www.chicagoboyzacrobaticteam.com.

New this year, Live54218 will be hosting Yoga for Families in the Legends Club. Live 54218 is a local nonprofit organization that strives to create healthy environments in the community and encourages residents daily to eat five servings of fruits and vegetables, drink four bottles of water, watch less than two hours of screen time, participate in at least one hour of physical activity, and sleep eight hours a night.  For more information, visit www.live54218.org.

Playworks Wisconsin will also be hosting several physical activity stations in the Legends Club during the event. For more information, visit www.playworks.org.

Project Play 60 is one of several free community events the Packers host every year, each geared toward bringing families together. For more information on the event, contact the Packers’ community outreach department at 920/569-7500.
