Prospect Primer: TE Colt Lyerla, Oregon

Posted Apr 11, 2014

Name: Colt Lyerla

Position: TE

Ht.-Wt.: 6-4, 242

School: Oregon

Key stat: Caught six TD passes among 25 catches in 2012, but had just two receptions total in 2013 before being dismissed from the team in early October.

Notable: Leaving the Oregon football team for an unspecified team rules violation wasn’t the worst of his troubles. Weeks later, was arrested and pleaded guilty to cocaine possession, bringing into question just where NFL teams will have him ranked on their draft boards, if they have him on their boards at all.
