Prospect primer: DE Barkevious Mingo, LSU

Posted Apr 12, 2013

Name: Barkevious “KeKe” Mingo

Position: DE/OLB

Ht.-Wt.: 6-4, 240

School: LSU

Key stat: Had 15 tackles for loss, including eight sacks, during breakout 2011 season, but production fell (8 ½ TFLs, 4 ½ sacks) in 2012.

Notable: An early entry in the draft, Mingo didn’t even begin playing high school football until his junior year, when track coaches convinced him to apply his athletic ability on the football field. His size and speed have him being scouted as a 3-4 outside linebacker in the NFL.
