Prospect primer: TE Dion Sims, Michigan State

Posted Apr 6, 2013

Name: Dion Sims

Position: TE

Ht.-Wt.: 6-5, 262

School: Michigan State

Key stat: Averaged a healthy 13.2 yards per catch and recorded a pair of 100-yard receiving games last year.

Notable: Dropped roughly 20 pounds prior to the scouting combine in an effort to increase his speed. Considered a strong pass-catcher and in-line blocker, but concerns about that speed and ability to stretch defenses have him as a mid-round prospect.
