The NFL announced today that quarterbacks Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints, 
Fans can vote for one player in each category on NFL.com from 9 a.m. EST on Tuesday through 3 p.m. EST on Friday to determine the Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week. The winners will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.
A closer look at the Air NFL Player of the Week finalists:
- New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees completed 26 of 36 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns in the Saints’ 31-17 victory over the Detroit Lions.
- Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers converted 28 of 46 pass attempts for 369 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in the Packers’ 38-35 win over the New York Giants.
- San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith completed 73.9 percent of his passes for 274 yards and two scores in the 49ers’ 26-0 victory over the St. Louis Rams.
