Tim Tebow’s second-half surge. Aaron Rodgers’ last-minute scoring drive. Larod Stephens-Howling’s overtime touchdown scamper. These are the three finalists for the Never Say Never Moment of the Week for games played on December 1-5, the NFL announced today.  The Never Say Never Moment of the Week is the best moment or play of the week that represents determination and perseverance.

Fans may vote for one of these three moments on NFL.com beginning right now and ending on Friday at noon ET to determine the Never Say Never Moment of the Week.  The winner will be announced Friday during NFL Network’s “Around the League” show and then posted on NFL.com.

After the regular season, fans will have a chance to determine the Never Say Never Moment of the Year, from among the 17 weekly winners.  Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com throughout the month of January.

A closer look at the nominees:

  • Tebow, Broncos do it again. Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow and his team overcame another slow start with a familiar second-half surge past the Minnesota Vikings for a 32-32 road victory, the team's fifth consecutive win and sixth in seven games. The Vikings built a 15-7 halftime lead, but the Broncos pulled out the win after a back-and-forth second half. Tebow finished with a season-best 202 yard passing and threw for two third-quarter touchdowns.
  • Packers face adversity, but stay perfect: Plagued by dropped passes by his receivers all afternoon, and harassed by the New York Giants' defense for three sacks, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers came through when it mattered most to preserve the Packers' perfect record through 12 games. With less than a minute to play and the game tied at 35-35, the Packers answered the Giants' challenge with a quick five-play drive led by Rodgers that set up kicker Mason Crosby's 31-yard game-winning field goal.
  • Looking at defeat, Cards come back for OT win: The Arizona Cardinals overcame a 10-point deficit to tie the game in the fourth quarter against a Dallas Cowboys team that had been riding a four-game winning streak. After the Cowboys missed a field goal at the end of regulation, the Cardinals won in overtime when a huge effort on a short pass play to running back Larod Stephens-Howling resulted in the winning score in sudden death.
