    The Green Bay Packers are set to host the team’s second annual “Green Bay Packers Coaching School” at Lambeau Field on Sunday, May 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    The complimentary coaching school has a curriculum exclusively designed for youth football coaches, and can accommodate a maximum of 300 coaches. The event will feature innovative classroom sessions in the Lambeau Field Atrium, as well as on-field football instruction from top local high school and youth football coaches in the Don Hutson Center.

Veterans Day card stunt set for Packers-Vikings game, Nov. 14

Game attendees' help needed for in-stadium card stunt; volunteers needed for setup


In conjunction with an NFL-wide “Salute to Service” celebration of Veterans Day, the Green Bay Packers and USAA are presenting an in-stadium card stunt in appreciation of veterans and members of the military during the Packers-Vikings game, Monday night, Nov. 14.
 
The card stunt will need participation from ticketed fans seated in the stadium bowl. Fans will turn Lambeau Field into a ring of stars and stripes and a message of “thank you military, thank you veterans” during the national anthem.
 
Game attendees will find a card taped to their seat with directions indicating when to hold it up and which side to have facing up. Fans will be prompted by a group at the bottom of their sections holding up cue cards reading, “Get Ready for Stunt #1,” then “Go Stunt #1.”
 
USAA, the first-ever Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the NFL, and the league developed the card stunt thank you to be used at six NFL games Nov. 10-14. All fans will be able to visit usaa.com/nfl to download photos to share with and thank veterans and military members.
 
The Brown County Volunteer Center is helping place the cards and is seeking volunteers to help set up the flip cards Saturday, Nov. 12, from 12:45 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Interested volunteers are asked to contact Sue Premo at 429-9445 or SPremo@volunteergb.org.
 
Members of local ROTC groups are also placing cards in support of the effort.
 
Other gameday activities include WPS’ Operation Fan Mail initiative, an on-field “living flag” representing all branches of the military, shout-outs from deployed service members played on the video board throughout the game, and a halftime presentation of the Army Band with Color Guard playing songs of the military capped off by a brief fireworks display.
