Packers Hall of Fame to host next 'History Night' Sept. 26

Event to feature guest speakers and various Packers historical topics, artifacts


The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame will host its next ‘History Night,’ on Tuesday, Sept. 26, an event that will explore stories and artifacts from the Packers’ celebrated past.

The Sept. 26 event will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature a presentation from Packers team historian, Cliff Christl about Packers legends and tall tales.

In addition to the opportunity to learn about Packers history, the event attendees are also encouraged to explore the rest of the Hall of Fame following the presentation, with museum hours extended until 9 p.m. for each History Night.

Regular Hall of Fame admission rates apply for all guests attending the event. Space is limited, and tickets can be purchased online at http://pckrs.com/history-nights.

In addition to the September event, additional History Nights are scheduled for the upcoming months and will feature speakers providing in-depth presentations on the evolution of the Green Bay Packers through photographs, legends, artifacts and unique archived items.

Upcoming events to include:

• Tuesday, Sept. 26: Packers Tall Tales – Packers’ history is steeped in mythology. How does one separate fact from legend and lore? Let Packers team historian, Cliff Christl, set the record straight.

• Wednesday, Oct. 25: Growing the Gridiron – How does the grass stay green at Lambeau Field? Fields manager Allen Johnson will explain the history of the field and how he and his team keep the unique turf in playing condition.

• Tuesday, Nov. 28: Home for the Holidays – Celebrate with the Packers Hall of Fame and relive some of the team’s best holiday games.
