Packers offer 5K and 1K participants chance to win prizes

Prizes include tickets to a 2017 Packers home game, Family Night tickets, autographed Packers items and gift cards

The Green Bay Packers, in partnership with Bellin Health and Edvest, are offering Packers 5K and 1K participants the opportunity to win a number of prizes at this year’s events.

The eighth annual ‘5K Run/Walk at Lambeau Field,’ is set for Saturday, July 22, at 8 a.m. The Packers 1K Kids Run is being held on Friday, July 21, at 6 p.m., and will give kids 10 years old and younger the chance to run a “Lambeau Lap.”

All 5K participants will receive a Packers 5K Run T-shirt, a logoed bag, and a bib number and timing chip. All 1K participants will receive a Packers 1K Run T-shirt, a logoed bag and a participant medal. In addition, photos will be taken on the course at both events and will be available at no cost on the Packers 5K Run website.

Packers-themed awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each age group for the 5K Run. An awards ceremony will take place following the conclusion of the race.

New this year, all participants that cross the finish line also will automatically qualify for a chance to win a variety of Packers prizes. More than 20 participants will be selected as winners for a variety of prizes, including:

• Tickets to a 2017 Packers home game

• $100 Packers Pro Shop gift card

• Authentic autographed merchandise

• Tickets to Packers Family Night

• $100 1919 Kitchen & Tap gift card

Registration, which is $30 for adults and $20 for children (12 and younger), is currently available online at Mail-in registration is also an option, with forms available online and in person at Lambeau Field. Early registration is encouraged. After July 9, registration fees will increase to $35 and $25, respectively. Registration for the Kids Run is $10.

The Packers are partnering with local charities to raise money through the event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross, Volunteer Center of Green Bay, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Encompass Foundation.
