Packers release 18, place four on IR

Active roster trimmed to 53-man limit

The Green Bay Packers have released 18 players and placed T Aaron Adams, LB Nate Palmer, TE Jake Stoneburner and DT Khyri Thornton on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Saturday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

The Packers released S Chris Banjo, WR Kevin Dorsey, LB Jake Doughty, T John Fullington, C Garth Gerhart, WR Alex Gillett, DT Carlos Gray, RB Michael Hill, LB Adrian Hubbard, G Jordan McCray, S Tanner Miller, TE Justin Perillo, RB LaDarius Perkins, DE Luther Robinson, CB Jumal Rolle, T Jeremy Vujnovich, WR Myles White and CB Ryan White.

The program, now in its 14th season, has raised more than $1.1 million to help alleviate hunger in Wisconsin. As the official cheese of the Green Bay Packers, Sargento donates $500 to Paul’s Pantry for every touchdown scored by the Packers during the 2016 regular season. Additionally, Sargento Foods raised a record $1,270 and gathered 1,507 pounds of non-perishable food items at the Nov. 6 Touchdowns for Charity Food Drive at Lambeau Field. Packers tight end Jared Cook made a special appearance at Paul’s Pantry to help Sargento thank volunteers for their support and dedication to the pantry.
