Packers release LB Mathews

The Green Bay Packers released LB Derrick Mathews from the practice squad. The transaction was announced Saturday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

Mathews joined the Packers for the 2016 training camp and spent part of last season and the first 10 weeks of this season on Green Bay’s practice squad.
