posted 12/31/98

The Green Bay Packers have signed Rodney Artmore, former Baylor defensive back, to the team's practice squad, Executive Vice President/General Manager Ron Wolf announced today.

The 6-foot, 208-pound Artmore, an undrafted free agent, was a starting cornerback for Baylor's Bears in 1996, posting 91 tackles, 61 of them solo, and one interception.

Before transferring to Baylor, the 24-year-old defender earned Junior College All-America honors at Garden City Junior College, starting all 22 of the team's games over the 1994 and 1995 seasons.

Artmore, who has been assigned jersey number 46, joined the Packers on the practice field this afternoon.
