The Atlanta Falcons today reached contract agreements with veteran free agents WR ChrisCalloway and DT Bob Kuberski.

Calloway led the New York Giants last season in receptions (62), yards (812), and touchdowns (6), while averaging 13.1 yards per catch. The 62 catches by Calloway were the most by a Giant player since Lionel Manuel had 65 in 1988. It also ranked 6th on the Giants† all-time single-season reception list.

The 5-10, 191 pound product out of Michigan led the Giants in receiving two consecutive seasons in 1995-96 under Dan Reeves.

For his nine-year pro career, Calloway has hauled in 359 passes for 5,088 yards (14.2 average) with 29 touchdowns in 140 games played and 88 starts. He leaves New York with a club record 47 straight games with at least one reception.

Kuberski just completed his fourth season as a member of the Green Bay Packers. The 6-4, 298 pound defensive tackle from Navy saw action in all 16 games for the Packers and finished with two tackles. Kuberski backed up starter Gilbert Brown and showed his versatility by also lining up at the other tackle position as well as at right end. He is a veteran of 37 games with three starts.

Calloway agreed to a three-year contract and Kuberski agreed to a two-year deal.
