MORE THAN 60 PLAYERS EXPECTED FOR PACKERS' FIRST MINICAMP

posted 03/24/99

More than 60 players are expected to be in evidence when new Head Coach Ray Rhodes launches the opening practice of the Packers' first 1999 minicamp next Wednesday morning (March 31).

The contingent, which will include quarterbacks Brett Favre, Rick Mirer and Matt Hasselbeck, will take to the Don Hutson Center turf at 10:40 a.m.

The camp will officially get under way on Monday (March 29), a travel day, with a team dinner. Tuesday (March 30) will be devoted to a variety of functions - a team meeting, staff introductions, physicals, player photos, position meetings and a conditioning session.

There will be two practices both Wednesday and Thursday (April 1), at 10:40 a.m. and 2:40 p.m., and a final workout at 10:40 Friday morning.

Because of unfavorable field conditions, all practices will be held in the Don Hutson Center and thus closed to the public.

Second Minicamp Set: Head Coach Ray Rhodes today announced dates for the Packers' second, post-draft minicamp. Following a travel day Thursday, April 22, two practices will be held on both Friday, April 23, and Saturday, April 24, and a final workout Sunday morning, April 25.

'Lambeau' Parking Fees: Parking fees for Packers games at Lambeau Field during the 1999 season have been established. They are: Reserved - $20; general - $15; handicapped - $15; and RVs and buses - $35.
