THREE ALLOCATED PACKERS SUFFER LOSSES IN WEEK 8 OF NFL EUROPE, McADA GETS MORE ACTION

| Ronnie McAda |
Green Bay Packers quarterback Ronnie McAda, re-allocated from the Frankfurt Galaxy to the Berlin Thunder three weeks ago, saw action at quarterback for the Thunder for the second consecutive week. Against the defending World Bowl Champion Rhein Fire, McAda threw his first pass of the NFL Europe season. Entering the game with Berlin trailing 29-0 and 9:25 remaining in the fourth quarter, he executed two series, completing 1 of 5 passes for 29 yards and rushing once for 4 yards.
Running back Edwin Watson, Packers and Thunder teammate of McAda, started his eighth game of the season and rushed for just 9 yards on 6 carries. The team's leading rusher with 420 yards on 99 attempts, including 3 touchdowns, Watson is also the league's fifth leading rusher.
After starting three consecutive weeks, Packers cornerback Denorse Mosley came off the bench for the Scottish Claymores in their 42-35 loss to the Barcelona Dragons. Mosley contributed 2 tackles, increasing his season total to 19. The team leader in passes defensed with 6 and second on the team in interceptions with 2, Mosley also has seen action as a kickoff returner, tallying 4 returns for 35 yards.
Looking ahead to Week 9: With just two weeks remaining in the NFL Europe season, the picture for the World Bowl is getting a bit clearer. Berlin, which is 3-5 on the season and has a slim chance of making the World Bowl, plays host to the Frankfurt Galaxy, 5-3. The Scottish Claymores, playing at home, are 4-4 and must defeat the Amsterdam Admirals, 2-6, to maintain a World Bowl bid. A loss would leave the Claymores needing Frankfurt and Rhein to lose in order to stay alive. The Barcelona Dragons will earn a berth in the World Bowl if they beat the Rhein Fire.
