"Packers Family Night, presented by Fox 11," a new event featuring a question-and-answer session with General Manager Ron Wolf and new Head Coach Ray Rhodes, a practice jersey give-away, a fireworks display and a live television broadcast in Green Bay on WLUK-TV, along with an intrasquad scrimmage similar to those conducted in past years, will be held inside Lambeau Field on Saturday night, August 7, Senior Vice President of Administration John Jones announced today.

"We are extremely excited to bring this family-oriented event to our fans," Jones said. "Besides giving everyone the first opportunity to see the 1999 Packers under game conditions, it also takes what previously was a scrimmage alone to a higher and more exciting level. Our goal is to make this such a wonderful event that fans will very much look forward to it each year."

Reserved tickets for this activity-filled event, priced at $6, will go on sale at 9 a.m. tomorrow, July 7, at numerous locations, including at Lambeau Field for the convenience of those attending the 1999 shareholders' meeting, scheduled for Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in the stadium. Parking for "Packers Family Night, presented by Fox 11" the night of August 7 will be free of charge.

The first-ever "Packers Family Night, presented by Fox 11" will begin at 7:30 p.m. when the team takes to the Lambeau Field turf. After warm-ups and stretching, the squad will go through agility and 7-on-7 drills. A 48-play controlled scrimmage then will be conducted, followed by a Q & A period with Wolf and Rhodes. After that, all fans in attendance will have the chance to win the "Shirt Off Our Back" as roughly 20 practice jerseys - which will have been worn in the preceding scrimmage - are raffled off in a random drawing. A fireworks display will conclude this fun evening.

The stadium parking lot will open at 4:30 p.m. for "Packers Family Night, presented by Fox 11." Fans will be able to enter the stadium starting at 6 p.m., and everyone passing through the gates will receive a team-oriented give-away item, courtesy of WLUK-TV Fox 11 and the Green Bay Packers.
