All of the Green Bay Packers' twelve 1999 draft selections were under contract as the Green and Gold's advance contingent moved into its second day of training camp practice under new Head Coach Ray Rhodes on Clarke Hinkle Field today.

The process was completed this morning with the signing of quarterback Aaron Brooks of the University of Virginia and punter Josh Bidwell of Oregon, the Packers' fourth-round selections in this year's draft, Executive Vice President/General manager Ron Wolf announced.

Brooks, playing in a multiple set offense at Virginia well-suited to his talents, was a two-year starter who had his most productive year as a junior when he completed 60.7 percent of his passes for 2,282 yards and 20 touchdowns, with 7 interceptions. The 6-4, 205-pound field general also amassed 255 yards rushing while scoring 5 touchdowns.

The 6-3, 225-pound Bidwell, rated the premier punter to come out in the 1999 draft, forged an impressive 46.0-yard average his senior season and a remarkable 41.8-yard net average while depositing 33 percent of his punts inside the 20-yard line.

Brooks and Bidwell joined 49 teammates on the practice field this morning. The 51-man camp roster will increase to 80-plus Thursday when most of the 33 remaining veterans are scheduled to report. There will be one noteworthy exception - quarterback Brett Favre - who will not check in until Saturday, with Head Coach Ray Rhodes' permission. Favre and his wife, Deanna, will be bringing the family, including the Favres' new, two-week-old daughter, Breleigh Ann, with them.

The current "campers" will practice twice more on Wednesday and once on Thursday morning before being joined by the rest of the squad on Friday.
