PACKERS WOMEN'S GROUP TO HOLD 3RD ANNUAL TALENT/FASHION EVENT

posted 11/29/99

Continuing what has become a holiday-time tradition, the Packers Women's Association will stage its third annual Talent and Fashion Extravaganza at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts Friday evening, December 10, it was announced today.

LeRoy Butler, the Packers' veteran strong safety, again will preside as master of ceremonies for the event. A number of his teammates will highlight the event--among them Dorsey Levens, William Henderson, Santana Dotson, Darren Sharper, Ryan Longwell, Tod McBride and Raleigh McKenzie, along with his twin brother, Reggie, and members of the Packers' families--will serve as models for the fashion presentations and appear in other segments.

The Talent and Fashion Extravaganza is held to benefit the Salvation Army's "Adopt-a-Family" program. With the proceeds, the Packer Women's Association will provide 50 needy families in the area with a complete Christmas dinner, clothes and toys for their children.

This year, the Extravaganza will also benefit the Association's newly-developed "Home from the Heart" housing project. Through it, the PWA will donate a home to a needy family at Christmas time. The home has been purchased by the PWA, has been completely conditioned and will be fully furnished for the family.

Tickets, available through the Weidner Center Ticket Office (920) 465-2217 or (800) 328-TKTS, are $20 per person. Contact: Sherry Schuldes, Green Bay Packers (920) 496-5700.
