| PACKERS FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTES $144,571 IN GRANTS TO 62 STATE GROUPS
posted 01/17/00 The Green Bay Packers Foundation has awarded $144,571 in grants to 62 civic and charitable groups throughout the state of Wisconsin in its annual distribution of funds, Chairman John C. "Jack" Meng announced today. With the latest disbursements, the Foundation has distributed a total of $756,676 for charitable purposes since it was established in 1986 by Judge Robert J. Parins, then president of the Packer Corporation, "as a vehicle to assure continued contributions to charity." "I think these grants have helped the needy and disadvantaged in the state of Wisconsin," Meng said, "in addition to a number of civic and charitable groups and organizations."
