posted 12/23/00
In conformity with National Football League personnel rules, the Green Bay Packers have placed four players on inactive status, reducing the active roster to 49 players for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Lambeau Field.
Those deactivated include offensive guard Richard Mercier, running back

Four more players, one of whom may be designated as the Third Quarterback, must be deactivated by 1-1/2 hours prior to Sunday's kickoff to reach the 45-player, game-day roster limit.
