The Green Bay Packers and WFRV-TV (Ch. 5) in Green Bay have agreed to a multi-year partnership in which WFRV will produce and distribute to a statewide network The Mike Sherman Show, the two parties jointly announced today.

"We're happy to continue our relationship with WFRV," said Packers director of marketing Jeff Cieply. "Mike Sherman takes great pride in everything that he does, and this show is no exception. The GM/Head Coach realizes that in his new, expanded role his words take on even more significance. Through the help of WFRV, we were able to secure improved time slots for the show this season."

"It is an honor to be selected as a member of Coach Sherman's team to produce this premier football show," said Perry Kidder, vice president and general manager of WFRV-TV. "We at WFRV are thrilled to once again be partner with the Green Bay Packers."

Wayne Larrivee and Larry McCarren of the Packers Radio Network will serve as the show's hosts, as they did in 2000. Larrivee is a nationally-recognized football and basketball play-by-play announcer. McCarren, sports director at WFRV-TV, is a member of the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame following 12 seasons at center for the team.

"Under any circumstances, I would be thrilled to work with Coach Sherman and the Packers organization," McCarren said. "Being part of a show that brings the football experience from the head coach's perspective to our viewers is something extra special. Working with one of the NFL's elite teams, the Green Bay Packers, is an outstanding opportunity."

The Mike Sherman Show will feature weekly comments from the head coach, highlights, player interviews and a chalk-talk segment.

In Green Bay, The Mike Sherman Show will air on WFRV-TV (Ch. 5) on Tuesdays starting in August at 6:30 p.m., then re-broadcast on Sundays at 10:30 a.m., immediately following The Barry Alvarez Show.

WTMJ-TV (Ch. 4) will broadcast the show in Milwaukee, moving it to Mondays at 6:30 p.m.

Additionally, The Mike Sherman Show will be seen on WJMN-TV (Ch. 3) in Marquette, Mich., as well as on to-be-determined stations in Madison, Wausau, La Crosse and Eau Claire.
